Who moved my skills? – How can L&D effectively close the ever-evolving skills gap?

This session will explore the significant scale of skills gap facing many global organisations – and explore why if L&D leaders don’t take action today to understand how they can support learners, the future challenges and the risks will affect the long-term growth, transformation, productivity and ultimately profitability of the organisations they are supporting. More closely you will learn
• How the continuing rise of the consumer-learner, self-determined, driven by their desire to learn and not the passive recipient of learning that L&D often cite as barriers to learning.
• How can heutagogical approaches to learning harness learning experiences towards ‘deep’ rather than ‘surface learning’, leading to the skills acquisition needed to meet the Skills Gap at the scale and pace required
• Connected Leadership and how the characteristics of this drive high-performing learning cultures and the ability to drive organisational capability at scale e.g. re-skilling and upskilling
• Integrated Learning Leadership – leveraging L&D influence and credibility in delivering learning agility that can identify skills acquisition at scale.
